Available Space Nash Square

The old News and Observer printing press is sitting empty. Plans are being drawn to redevelop the space. Still, in the meantime, we are looking for local entrepreneurs, organizers and charities with ideas about how to use the space to benefit the community.

We're looking for short-term projects

The projects should all happen throughout 2024 as the building will need to be vacated before it's torn down for redevelopment. The projects may be extended past the end of the year, but there are no guarantees beyond that point. This temporal constraint limits the scope of feasible projects, however, we believe that the community can still find value in the space.

No Profit? No Rent!

Depending on the use case, the space will be either donated or given in a regiment of profit sharing after breaking even, so if you don't make any money, neither do we!

Cycling and Urban      Mobility Projects

We want to promote Raleigh Downtown through all forms of sustainable urban mobility. We are highly interested in partnering up with an entrepreneur eager about urban mobility and willing to set up a Pop-Up bicycle store in our location. Is that you? Fill in our form!

We are also interested in lending the space to charities and local collectives who may want to advocate sustainable urban mobility through events or meeting in the space.

Rage room

We want to help Raleighites to unleash their pent-up stress and frustration. Our space is ideal for a Pop-Up rage room, with a vast space and plenty of old office furniture. Perfect for corporate team-building activities, as it's in the core of downtown. Are you interested in running this project? Let us know!

Markets Stands & Food Trucks

Do you want to organize an arts and crafts market? A market selling plants or books or used clothes? Our trucking bays on Martin Street are ideal for such events! Are you experienced in running local markets and want to use our space? Tell us here!

Sports

Are you a trainer? Do you want to try out your new workout plan with your clients and need a bigger space? Our space is rough, but it might still be a great testing ground for your concept. If this sounds interesting to you, tell us here!

Art Shows

Do you have an art show or exposition that needs a large space? Are you an artist who would like to use our walls as a canvas? A digital artist wanting to do a projector exhibition? Let us know, by filling in our form!

Any other project

Do you have any other project ideas for the space? Do you believe you are the right person to run it?   Get in touch!
